2020 what a year. I graduated college at 48 years old. Started my business and left an industry I had been in for 33 years. We made many new friends and some of our friends became family. When the year started I had no idea it would send me down this path. As I jumped in with both feet to this new adventure I felt at times like a pinball. I was getting bounced all over by life and business, always another form to fill out or calls to answer. Opening the new year with promise and opportunity laid out before me I am so happy I stepped out and changed my life. Cheers to 2020, boy I am glad that you are over and glad I was strong enough to make it through!

Toys for Tots
We can all make a difference, take a minute and give what you can today. Such a great charity. No child should have Christmas without something under the tree. If money is tight contact your local Toys for Tots and volunteer to help sort or distribute toys. These wonderful people deserve our support and help. Thank you Marine Corps Reserve, and the thousands of volunteers that make this possible.

More Debt?
Extending the PPP in our current crisis, or another relief package? I agree that a lot of people are hurting right now, but what is the solution. With our country already massively in debt can we afford even more debt, can we dig ourselves out of this hole. The debt has grown year over year seemingly with no end. This cannot continue. I say open the country and get our incredible economy back in gear. Balance the budget and put a plan in place to pay off our debt in 20 years. We have to manage the finances of our businesses or we don’t get to have one, why do we not hold the politicians to the same standard.

Christmas Budgeting
Christmas spending is out of control. Often we just buy stuff for a list of people with little or no planning or budget. Linked here is a great tool to help you plan, save it for next year. If you are like me and haven’t bought anything yet, you may need to fire it up and plan a bit before hitting that online buying site.

Winterizing your Business
Is your business ready for winter, for some this means switching gears. A lawn service company in the north may have to pivot to clearing snow. For most businesses we just switch on the heat, or bring in our plants. Energy bills can suck the life out of a business, so take time today to address your winter plan, and get ready for the cold. #winterizing#energyefficiency#knowyournumbers
